The continuous consciousness about global warming led to having more and more people that are concern about the environment. That is why as much as possible, you want to use carpet cleaning agents that can do a wonderful job while leaving no harmful chemicals for nature.
Fortunately, there are many environment-friendly cleaning products for your carpet. You just need to shop around and look for them. But meantime that you don't have any of these, you can just clean your carpet through an environment-friendly method, too. Here are the procedures:
1. Do a pre-cleaning for your carpet. This involves removing of dirt through a stiff broom. Don't expect that doing this will remove 100% of dirt. You can instead leave the left over dirt on shampooing and other cleaning procedures.
2. Vacuuming the carpet. Doing this will definitely make your carpet cleaner. But even though you have a vacuum cleaner, the pre-cleaning is still needed since there are residues that can't be removed through vacuuming alone.
3. Put on special solutions for the carpet stains. A good natural stain remover for food stain is shaving cream. Use that on the stains carefully and gently but never ever rub hard on the carpet. If you do that, you may just make your carpet stain worse.
4. Leave the stain remover for about fifteen minutes. Rinse off the stain solution with a vinegar-water mixture.
Other stains may require a different kind of natural cleaning solutions. For instant, cola stains can be removed through white toilet papers dipped into a vinegar-water solution. You can read more information about this since every stain can be best removed using a special kind of cleaning solution.
