In fact, the payment from your renters will be almost enough for the monthly payment of the house. Aside from that, having renters will ensure that your house will always be clean. Just be picky when it comes to renters. Don't just take in anyone who wishes to rent your house.
 
·       Find some boarders. Unlike renters, boarders won't stay in your house forever. Maybe only some months or weeks are enough for boarders. You may require them to clean your vacation house, too. This way, you can earn while they maintain your house.
 
With these three options, you surely won't have any reason to leave your vacation house in mess. You may even discover that your second home can be a good way to earn, too.
