Published on Wednesday, 17 February 2010

A clogged tub drain is indeed a hassle. Starting from the time you waste once you discover it to the fee you need to pay for the plumber, it is indeed a headache. Therefore, what you must do is to prevent this from happening so that you will be saved from this kind of situation. Here, check out these ways on how you can do this task:   ·      Stoppers. It is very important that you check the stoppers often for any hair and biofilm buildup. Biofilm is the assortment of soap residue, toothpaste, shampoo, body oils, and other particles that hardens in the long run, which is one of the causes of clogged tubs. If there is any wear in the stoppers, it must be replaced right at hand.   ·      Water. Another thing you can do is to half-fill the tubs with water and then release the stopper for the water to drain. If done once a week, the draining water can flush out any buildup in the pipe.   ·      Chlorine Bleach. This is especially helpful if your home is connected to some sewerage plant. You can pour at least 12 ounces of bleach into the tub every night because it has the capacity to dissolve any biofilm buildup.   If you only observe the right measures in preventing clogged tub drain, you surely will not face any problem that come with it. Hence, it pays to give proper attention to the tub drain even if there are no problems yet.
