Tips and Tricks on Maintaining a Clean and Healthy Home
Published on Sunday, 18 April 2010
While cleaning is usually done to make the home look more beautiful and relaxing, your home should actually be cleaned for health reasons more than anything else. This is especially important if your family is prone to respiratory allergies and diseases. Even if you are not, you would not want to risk any infections and allergies inflicting upon you and your entire family. If your home really needs a lot of cleaning, you cannot expect to finish everything right at once in the same day especially if you work. What you can do is to prioritize the most urgent parts and leave the rest for the other days of the week. So first, it's important that you clean the main and the most common parts of your home. This does not mean
regular deep cleaning though. For instance, sweeping and mopping the floors daily will do. Vacuuming can be done at least once a week. Toilets can be cleaned when you have more time to spare. You can also do some
de-cluttering and cleaning in your room on your own time. If you need to get rid of bad odor, you can use some white distilled vinegar or baking soda. Both substances can also be used in cleaning tarnish and mineral deposits in toilets, kitchens and other parts of your home. Lemon juice can be as effective as well. By using such natural solutions, you don't only ensure proper cleaning but you ensure the safety of your family as well.
