Dry cleaning doesn't need water in cleaning clothes. Instead, dry cleaners use cleaning chemicals to clean clothes because there are clothes that are too delicate when cleaned with water and other liquid substances.
Special solvents like white petrol are used in dry cleaning. The dry cleaning technologies have taken a big leap that is why many countries already use sophisticated dry cleaning substances, solvents and techniques to do the sensitive task of cleaning delicate clothes.
In dry cleaning, oil spots are removed. Shrinking and stretching of clothes are prevented. The original texture of clothes is also maintained when clothes are dry cleaned.
The dry cleaning procedures include marking and inspecting of clothes, mending of clothes, pre-treating of clothes, spotting, finishing, and finally packing. Such procedures are done to maintain the quality of the garment or clothes being dry cleaned.
Machines are also use in dry cleaning. Such machines use filters in removing the solvents and other residues found in the clothes during the cleaning process. However, the use of the chemical called perchloroethlene is prohibited in dry cleaning since it is not good for the environment. So, make sure that your dry cleaning providers use carbon dioxide in dry cleaning.
