Floor made of tiles is the most common in houses. Only few houses choose having a hardwood floor despite its elegance. That is why you must be very proud of having a hardwood floor. But that beauty comes with a price.
Hardwood floor is more difficult and more expensive to maintain. Good thing, you can do something for that. Here are some tips for easier and safer hardwood floor cleaning:
· Use only hardwood-friendly cleaning solution. Your all-purpose detergent may harm your beautiful hardwood floor. So instead of that, use only the recommended cleaning agents for hardwood.
· Say not to hard cleaning materials. Hardwood floor can easily get scratches, dents, and marks if you use hard cleaning materials like that same brush you use for tiles. Instead, you can have used cotton cloth when applying any cleaning agent on the floor. This is an effective cleaning buddy that will never harm your elegant floor.
· Make all your furniture hardwood-friendly. Metallic furniture can easily damage your floor especially if you frequently move these around. The best thing you can do is to install a special rubber on the furniture's tips. This way, moving them around won't hurt the hardwood floor anymore.
· Remove stains as soon as they attack your floor. Stains will be harder to remove the longer they stay on your floor. So if you can, remove these stains as fast and as early as possible.
Just take these tips and you'll hardwood floor's beauty will be at least maintained, if not improved.
