In fact, it can be performed by following these easy guidelines: 1. Make sure that there is a strong ladder that can carry your weight
for your cleaning task. If it happens that the roof is high, you must use some safety harness. Also, it is necessary that you wear boots that don't have skid soles. 2. Secure some garbage bags at the end of each downspout. This is necessary so that the chemical solutions you will use will not damage any plants near them. Prepare a low pressure power spray washer, sprayer bottle, garden hose, detergent, hot water, household bleach, and TriSodium Phosphate. 3. Mix up all the solutions but remember to wear protective gloves and eye protection. Place the solution in the sprayer bottle and spray it to the roof shingles once you climb up the roof. Allow this solution to rest there for around 20 to 30 minutes. 4. Use the spray washer to clean the entire area. Afterwards, rinse the roof well with water using the garden hose. Make sure to do this step downwards to avoid the solution from getting under the shingles.
Indeed, cleaning the roof shingles in not a hard task as you have imagined. However, you need to be careful when performing this task to ensure safety.
