Regular Office Cleaning Maintenance Tips

Published on Sunday, 06 December 2009

The office is a place that many people spend as much time in as they do in their home. However, not everyone pays that much attention at keeping their office clean as they do their home. Instead of procrastinating things, it is always better to be regular in cleaning and maintaining your office.

It is said that people can get an idea of who you are by looking at your trash. This is because if you have a habit of regularly cleaning your office, your trash will be full of papers and trash. If you don't have a habit of tidying your office before you leave, your trash will most likely be empty.

However make sure your trash too is emptied everyday, or twice a day as required. If you have an ashtray, empty it before it starts overflowing. This keeps your desk tidy.

Return Coffee Mugs to Its Place

Basically, you have to learn to get things taken care of as soon as you can. This saves your having to handle or deal with a large mess after a few days' time. Coffee mugs should be returned to the office kitchen as soon as you are done with it, and also cleaned.

Vacuuming of your office floor has to be done once or twice a week, depending on the amount of traffic your carpet endures. Get rid of all unwanted things like advertisements, old post that you don't require, newspapers and any other stuff you have no use of. Unnecessary clutter only makes your office look more untidy.

Cleaning Services Take Care of Bigger Cleaning Chores

Besides all this regular and day to day cleaning, you should have a cleaning service come by to clean your office as least once a week. They will take care of places that need more cleaning attention like bathrooms, office kitchen and dusting and wiping of windows.

If all this is done on a regular basis, you will not only be proud of your office, but cleaning it will never turn out to be a chore to you.
