Prolong the Life of Your Carpet: Practical Guidelines
Published on Monday, 03 May 2010
Money is difficult today. Everyone can attest to that. So then, you should take the effort to preserve what you already have especially the ones you invested for your home. One example of
those is carpet. You know for
sure that carpet is very expensive to replace. So then, you should know how to give it with proper care to prolong its life. First of all, provide it with regular vacuuming. If you can't make it every day, make it at least three or four days. This will
prevent your carpet from getting loose fibers. Avoid dragging or sliding your heavy furniture on your carpet, too. Doing this can develop ripples and wrinkles on your carpet. Make sure to properly install your carpet as well to prevent those forms of ugliness to happen. Also, if you don't want your carpet to develop dark black lines, you should always ensure that the air inside your home is clean. You can do that by reducing fireplace smoke, cigarette smoke, cooking emissions, or burning candles. To ensure that your carpet can truly last, you should not also hesitate to send your carpet to professional cleaners at least once a year. This is a good investment since they know how to give the right care to your prided stuff.
