Keep Your Vertical Lines Attractive: Keep It Dirt-Free

Published on Tuesday, 22 September 2009

The French doors and sliding patio doors including the large windows are wonderful to look at when hanged with vertical blinds. Apart from helping to control both the light and temperature in the room, these give the looks of draperies-providing your room with a better view.
However, no matter how beautiful vertical blinds may appear, these can still not look attractive when filled with dirt. So, you should maintain the cleanliness of your blinds. To do this, you should have a regular cleaning schedule to keep the blinds from having heavy dirt. Take note that cleaning heavy-soiled blinds will be tougher and can consume more of your time. You can also dust them regularly using vacuum or feather duster.
In case you failed to clean your vertical blinds thoroughly for quite sometime already and are really dirty now, you will need to do heavy cleaning. When doing so, avoid cleaning them while they are still hanged because this will just double your work-cleaning the floor and windows once stained by dirt too. It will be better if you will take out the vertical blinds from being hanged; although this will be time consuming because you will remove each vane from its hook and detach each from the chain at the bottom, you can guarantee that you can clean the blinds thoroughly through this.
