How to Maintain a Clutter-Free Undergarment Drawer and Inventory
Published on Friday, 09 October 2009
Spring cleaning is a routine for most people. However, with the many things to clean many people actually forget to include their underwear drawer. That is why many have some of their underwear missing the whole year round.
To get rid of the clutter, you have to maintain only a certain number of underwear. While some bras, for example, still look good they might actually not be serving their purpose. You may not actually be receiving the support you need. That's because if you have two bras, they are expected to only last up to six months.
Nevertheless, if you seldom shop for lingerie and other undergarments you can opt to keep around three to four old ones. What is important is that you will have an appropriate undergarment for every activity or occasion. If you engage in sports activities, various sports bras are available in the market. You may also want to keep strapless, backless and spa bras for certain occasions. The new technology also allows you to have "now show" panties. You might want to have some of these so that panty lines won't be visible on the surface of your outerwear.
Instead of throwing undergarments that are slightly used or never worn, you can also donate them to the women's shelter. You can also donate or set aside for while sleepwear that is too thick for the season. Undergarments that have themes or unique designs are usually seldom used. If you're still going to use them, you can also put them in one drawer so you will know where to look for them when you need them.
