How Does Carpet Dry Cleaning Work?

Some carpets can be cleaned using shampoo and water. But there are carpets, especially those made out of natural fibers, that can't be cleaned by wetting them. Good thing, dry cleaning is also available for carpet cleaning.
You may wonder how dry carpet cleaning works. Here's how:
1. A special solvent will be sprinkled unto the carpet. This solvent can be sprayed also. Then, the solvent will be spread evenly unto the carpet using a brush.
2. The solvent will be left working to clean the carpet for about half an hour or an hour depending on the carpet's cleaning demand. Its cleaning happens by attracting dirt to come unto the surface. Then, it dissolves the dirt for easier vacuuming.
3. A vacuum will sip the solvents from the carpet. The dirt are already included to the solvents.
Dry cleaning is a very effective alternative if your carpet can't be wet. However, you should also take precautions when using this cleaning method. Before doing this, make sure that all solid dirt particles have been removed from the carpet. Just take away all the dirt particles you can through vacuuming or manual brushing.
The carpet should also be perfectly dry before undergoing this cleaning process. So if the carpet has suffered accidental liquid spills, you better remove the liquid by absorbing it with a cloth or cotton.
Just keep in mind that dry cleaning is not the advisable cleaning method for all carpets. Using dry cleaning involves some risk on the carpet also. So before you request for carpet dry cleaning, make sure first that it is the best recommended cleaning for your carpet.
