As the saying goes "Cleanliness is next to godliness." You should therefore maintain a wholesome atmosphere in and out of your home.  This may also include your upholstery, furniture etc.  You heard it right, including your upholstery.  

One of the most functional furniture in the home is the couch or the sofa.  It is where you usually entertain your visitors or where family sit during free time.  The tendency is many times spill of various drinks and food may fall on the couch and mess up the upholstery.

Applying the principle of quick reaction may be effective way of treating upholstery stains.  Once a drink or any foods drop onto it, clean it right away.  Blotting on the affected surface maybe necessary rather than scrub it, this will avoid tarnishing of the fabric.
