Spring is the time
for thorough cleaning in our home. As you
begin your cleaning marathon, remember to be aware of your environment. Be sure to do more good than harm so have a safe home. You can follow these eco-friendly tips to guide you in
your spring cleaning mission. Use all natural cleaning agents. There are many natural cleaning agents that can be found in your home including vinegar, tea bags and baking soda. Vinegar and baking soda are good deodorizers while lemons can be used as disinfectants. If you gave wooden floors, clean them with tea. Do not use scented products. Here is one rule of thumb you can follow: if it smells toxic, it probably is. We have been led to believe that a clean smell has a chemical smell. The smell of your fabric conditioner, air freshener and all purpose cleaner are all chemical smells. Therefore, they could be hazardous to your health and you need to use less if these products. Resort to natural methods in taking care of your garden. Instead of using pesticides, herbicides and fertilizers, use diatomaceous earth, nematodes and boric acid. Visit pet stores or food shops to avail of these supplies. With these eco-friendly spring cleaning tips, you will not only conserve the wonderful nature we live in. You also get to take care of your family's health by keeping them away from toxins.
