Cleaning as a Game

Published on Friday, 13 July 2012

If you have decided to clean your home, but you just don't know how to cope with the tediousness, you may think of changing your attitude. People say, that the attitude towards something affects the way you do it and how often you do it. This is why, it is important to replace the negative adjectives with which you describe the cleaning process, with something more positive and motivating. Another good idea to change the attitude is making cleaning like a game.

Who does not like playing games? Games are fun and provoke positive thinking. Here is how you can turn cleaning into a fun game.

In order to do that , you have to involve the whole family in this process, and especially your kids. Make your kids carefully clean their room , by starting with the toys. We know how messy a kid's room may look like with all their toys they are playing with the whole day. So, at first have your children put their toys in a big box. In order to motivate them , you can choose a special reward for them for the good job. When they are done with the toys, give them the reward, so they can move on to the next task, for which there will be another reward.

Creating a game in which the children could be able to participate can make it easier for you to clean your home. Besides, instead of wondering what to do with your kids when you are cleaning, you can have them help and have fun while doing it. In addition to that, you can teach your children how to be neat and to keep their rooms in good order when they are still little. Arranging your belongings on the proper places and maintaining your home clean become a habit when it is done regularly and for a long time. Apparently, you are doing this not only to get some help, but to create a valuable habit for your children.
Most women often complain that they have to do all the household work and no one is helping with this tedious task. So, make sure to involve the whole family in the cleaning process. While your kids are having fun cleaning their rooms, you can have your husband clean the most difficult places in your home.

Many women find it difficult to clean their heavy furniture or the carpet. While you are dusting the furniture , your husband can beat the carpets. Truth is, a woman cannot handle this task, it is too tedious and difficult for a woman to beat the carpet. Instead of exhausting yourself out with something you cannot do, have your husband perform this task. This cannot be a very pleasant game for him , but it will be a great help for you.

When the whole family is done with the cleaning, you can reward them with a big home- made chocolate cake. Besides, having done so much work you will probably be hungry, so why not make them something special as a sign of appreciation for their help.

As you can see, cleaning does not have to be so hateful and prosaic. If you know how to make it funnier, it will be easier for you. Many people like to have their family involved in the housework, which is a great idea since the duty for the maintenance of the the home should be shared by every family member. Use these tips to create a good cleaning game, which everyone can enjoy.
