finish. Regular cleaning will also help to keep a long lasting durability. Occasionally, wood floor needs to be refinished to give it a complete polishing.
To start cleaning a wooden floor, make sure that it is clear from dust, debris, and small objects that might have been dropped. Use a soft broom to sweep a wooden floor to protect the finish from scratches. Then use a dust mop to remove slightly stacked particles. You can use cotton wipes to remove dirt buildup. Damp cloth is more effective in removing hard to get buildups of dust and debris. If you find spots of stains, use a gentle solution that will not tarnish the color of wood floor. Also, make sure to work gently on sticky substances such as gums and asphalt. Scraping these with sharp knife will wound the wood floor. Use a nail file instead of a sharp knife. Then mop the floor again with wet cloth to remove residues left. Finally, apply floor wax to the wood floor that matches its color. Thicken the application on erupted areas to conceal the damage. The floor occupies a big part in the totality of the house. Make sure that you pay attention of this part to maintain the overall splendor of your home.
